An Open Letter to the People of the United States #1

 #1

My Country Tis of Thee Sweet land of Liberty!

Is that what we are?
If you look at where we are and what we have become the answer is a resounding No, and who's fault is that? There is only one answer to that, it's not the laws, it's not the ideals of progression, it not being consistent with everyone else in the world. Well if that's true, then who's to blame, the politics, nope, the ignorance, nope, the finger-pointing politicians, nope, Progressive affluence, nope. Then what or who is to blame for this FUBAR.

The answer is it's us, the people reading this missive, the people who sat back and let it happen, you and me, us, there is no them, it's us
.
When you realize it is us who could have stopped it a long time ago but did not, when you realize it is us who let it happen because we were to busy trying to gain affluence that we forgot about our stature as citizens, yes the total responsibility is ours.
We became a notion of leeches, asking what will it do for me as an individual, when we should have asked what will it do for us as a collective country. You see, when we advance as a country as opposed to an individual, we as a country of individuals will advance collectively. It's not rocket science. Here's the thing we ought to know, our successes in the past were built on a spirit of cooperation, not corporation, Henry Ford showed us that. The Progressive Philosophy that is rampant today is not really progressive, in actuality if you look at history you will find it regressive in that it winds up stripping people of their individuality and making them a cog in the wheel of progression. It has never ever lent itself to the betterment of the people, rather yet it has led to the subjugation of the masses for the benefit of the few, If yo think I'm wrong, hit your history books, not the ones you get today find one from about thirty years ago.

Here's the deal, we quit, we as a nation quit, we let go of our values, we replaced our morals, and we lost sight of two very important things that are needed for survival, humility and gratitude. Humility in realizing we art not the apex of civilization and gratitude for the things we have been give by those who came before, it wasn't perfect but it was better than what they got. Is our Legacy to our children and grand children going to be less? Yep! You see, we are the ones who quit.

An American who still cares
