How do we do the do

Previously I spoke of the FIX, this is an item we need desperately here in the United States, why do we need it, open you're eyes America, we have plenty of things to fix, plenty of things.

We, first and foremost, have to fix the way we look at each other, I do not know where it came from, nor do I care! All of us, everyone, is a human being. No matter what color is shown to the world, everyone of us is a Human Being and entitled to the respect due a Human Being. I have been on this planet for a long time, traveled around the world approximately three times, been places and done things others just read about. I have seen the best humanity has to offer and the very worst, I have seen humanity soar to dizzying heights and seen it plummet to cloying depths. I have participated in taking out some very bad people and returning some very good people to positions they could effect changes that benefited countless others. So I think I can successfully speak on this subject.

In my time, I have occasioned to assist in the rebuilding of segments of our worldly family that had been trounced, stepped on, and brought to the point of extinction by none other than their fellow human beings, after removing the causative factors, every one in a while we were asked to stay in place until other forms of humanitarian assistance arrived on scene, because of this I not only saw, but also got viscerally involved in the immediate aftercare, what I saw and experienced in the hopelessness of these people really had an effect on me. The worst thing I saw that these people had in common was in their eyes, there was no light, there was no hope of anything getting better, there was a complete attitude of surrender, of giving up, of not being able to go another step, because there was no reason to continue. Now, I ask myself why is this happening again here at home, why is there so much mistrust and anger? And how can it be overcome.

ME, the answer is "ME," though we use the word frequently, we really don't have any idea what it means, "Neighbor"! Who the heck is my neighbor, do I know them, do they know me? Sometimes we live a wall apart, sometimes a yard apart, but other than superficial knowledge, what do we know about our "Neighbor" for that matter, what do we know about our "Neighborhood?"

To answer this question I referred to many sources including the dictionary, encyclopedia, Wikipedia but the best definition I found was in the Bible, not only because it is something I love to read, but also because it contains something I personally think is sadly lacking in today's society, and that "Common Sense." Anyway the definition is found in the book of Luke chapter 10 verses 29 through 37, it's the story of the Good Samaritan I suggest this because it is the picture of selflessness. Though it is geared to the area and time of long, long ago and far, far away, I think it is extremely pertinent in today's world and time, why? Because back then, the technology available did not separate people, by our standards they had no technology so therefore when there was a need afoot, they had to depend on each other for survival. Think about that, people actually had to interact with each other for everything, food, shelter, clothing, camaraderie (now there's a word for you, how many of us know what it means), and other things needed to get along on a daily basis. You know, when I first went into the Military, we were taught that the secret to our success was our ability to operate as a team, everyone in that team had something to offer to the benefit of the team, and the interdependence that evolved led us to be the very best America had to offer, our strength multiplied to astronomical prioportion even though we were of less numbers than our foes!

Something like that happens quite often if we let it, there are requirements though, not hard ones, but there are requirements.

The first one is to get our eyes checked, by that I mean, TAKE OFF THE BLINDERS!!! We judge people by how they look, and if their looks don't appeal to us, that's as far as it goes, (Strike One.)
Our initial eye sight might be 20/20, but the transition from the eye ball to the brain, that's a different story. Somewhere along that synapses there is a detour that goes to the taste buds, this causes a bad taste in the mouth. From there the effect reaches the intestinal tract, as it negotiates the pathway to the colon then there appears an accustomed response in the tightening of the nether area causing a reflux of matter, that circumnavigates the intestinal system and gains access to the Frontal lobes of the brain causing the whole body to step back and withdraw the offered handshake, then comes the kicker, when asked why the person says "NOT MY KIND OF PEOPLE!" Really, really!! Exactly why is that? The often given answer is so sanctimonious, that when you hear it, you want to puke. Read Luke 10:29-37 again and answer the question "Who is my neighbor" When we get past this, then we can continue to march to the beat of a different drum.

Where does race stop and humanity begin

Seems to me, that there is so much emphasis placed on being subjected to discrimination, be it racial, sexual, professional, et al, that the idea of one's humanity is left to suffer. Everyone of us black, white, red, brown, yellow has stories to tell about being discriminated against. I hear one black man say "the life of a black person holds no value in the United States." I hear Indians say that a football team called the "Redskins" is offensive because it is derogatory, I hear Jews say it denies the suffering they went through in the "Holocaust."

Everybody has a point of fact to make in saying I have been oppressed. But today, who is being oppressed, a black man in a black neighborhood is oppressed when a police officer stops him. a woman is sexually harassed because someone compliments her, an atheist is oppressed because the is a God.

A citizen is oppressed because a government oversteps it's boundaries and forces it's way into the citizen's life, a criminal is oppressed because he or she is made to pay the consequences of their actions.

America we have become a country of PLOM (Poor Little Ole Me), a bunch of "Namby Pamby, worthless "sucafied" babies. Used to be, when a "Stand up" man or woman screwed up, they would promptly admit it and move on, but today, "Yeah Right" today it's blame the system, blame the prejudice, blame the other races, blame the other religions, blame God, blame the devil, blame the laws, blame acceptable social behaviors, blame the weather, blame the "Chicken that crossed the road" blame everything else you possibly can, but above all "DO NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING YOU DO."

Florida, Missouri, now New York, in the past, California, Selma, Little Rock, shall I keep going? How do we hold the government accountable when we don't hold ourselves accountable? Mike Brown, he was "Such an upright child, a good human being" was he, pictures prove different, testimony proves different, evidence proves different. When are we going to admit that as a people whom have become dependent on the Government handouts that are given consistently we have lost the identity of independence, and being resourceful? When are some parents going to step up and be parents instead of buddies, when will lawmakers be held accountable for what they screw up and for their behaviors, when is a lie going to be a lie, something that deminishes the person telling it.

Black communities complain that white cops in their neighborhoods kill black children for no other reason than they are black, Latino illegals complain that they are not receiving the benifits the rest of the country receives, (aren't they illegal?) criminals that rob and murder blame mommy and daddy because the spanked them too hard, crime is minimized by Lawyers so their clients get off, and they get paid.

America, when will we grow up and admit we screwed up, America when will we correct our own errors, America, when will we stop "Molly Coddling," When will we as Americans stop spoon feeding our children and raise them as good honest responsible people, not some low grade thugs that are way to stupid to be citizens and continue to be leeches.

Charles Barkley makes a statement that he believes and his friend calls him on it and bring Slavery into the picture, I know slavery was a thing that blacks had to deal with for a long time, they were separated from their families, whipped, tortured, abused, killed, raped. and made to feel worthless. But that time is over, yes it is something to remember, just like the Holocaust, but does that govern the life of a black today? White cop, black neighborhood, dead kid, cop's fault? Balck on Black crime up in number, does the black community do anything about it, nope, does Al Sharpton say anything when a 5 year old get shot in the face, nope,

So who's in the wrong America?

WE ARE, NO ONE ELSE, WE ARE. From the President down to the homeless guy on the street (Inclusiveness), we are the ones who have to fix it, Government won't, doesn't know how so it on us the citizen, the person on the street, in the car, in the office, in the bar, restaurant, under the bridge, it' up to us to fix America, and we start with ourselves.

Now it get's Interesting

Our President as we read has challenged congress to fund his amnesty bill or he will close down the government.

If our GOP were not a pack of RINOs they would just let the government shut down, dismantle the alphabet agencies and reopen with a much slimmed down federal government. What better way to get things done than to start anew. I mean the Declaration of Independence provides for that action, let me quote

"We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, and that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness--That to secure these rights Governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the Governed---That whenever any form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it and to institute new Government laying it's foundation on such principals and organizing it's powers in such form as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.

So now it is time to take action, how you ask?

  1. Provided, find a list of representatives, search out the ones you need to call to ensure that the desires of the American people are heard
  2. Call them, call them, call them email them, email them, email them, hit their FB pages, hit their Twitter pages, hit their LinkedIn page do whatever it takes, but contact them and keep on until they get the message, they answer to us not big business.

Once it is determined by the representatives that the people whom they represent are firmly in favor of not funding Obama's Amnesty, and that the people are aware of their participation in the regime owned by corporations and big banks and that they are at risk of loosing their positions then we might see the beginnings of a real live groundswell of United Citizens. The numbers behind the names represent the position of the  representative in voting for the interests of the people the lowest average is 62%.

Okay, now let's see what happens in the next few days. We all have complained about the lack of governmental response to our needs, as opposed to that of big business, we have all seen how the current government does what their big bucks buddies tell them to do, now will we see them respond to the needs of the people or the conglomerates. You see I didn't know this country existed for the benefit of big business, yes there is a place for business in the United States, it's just not at the top of the food chain. Are you willing to do something to effect the change we need to resurrect our country? I am, how about you, one phone call could start a groundswell, 
For all you vets out therer that need to do something it's time to "Saddle Up" America needs us again come on Squids, Come on Rangers, come on Berets, come on Shallow Water Sailors, come on Fly Guys. There's a need and we took an Oath, and no one has released me from mine

There is something we can do, and the need has never been greater, no politics, no lofty ideals, no big speeches, it time for the Grunts, the Joe's, and the ladies who walk with us to do what we know how to do, pick up the slack, march on, and get the damn job done.

Some More Tools, though not the ones you'd expect.

We understand that our system is that of Capitalism. We also understand that our history all 239 years of it has come about with the thought that the individual is the focus of all that we have built, and the individual must be the one who decides the outcome of all the events presented to be approved by the people of the United States.

If this is understood, I mean really understood, then why do we offer up our right to choose to  someone we know does not have our best interests at heart? This is something I cannot fathom. it can only be said that we as a people have chosen to give up that which we pay no mind to because we are woefully unaware or adamantly apathetic about what has been given us. In either instance, we are by our inaction marked as ungrateful or ignorant.

Let's look at it and see if this conclusion is correct, we have in writing all that is necessary to enforce the will of the people on the government  that is designed to serve, yet we do it not. Even though in has been done successfully in the recent past, I site for example. The people of the United States protested the involvement of our country in Viet Nam, to the point where the government was left with no choice but to withdraw, there have over the years been other examples of the people exerting their wills on the government and getting the change required for that particular situation, but that took something not evident today, cohesiveness, and where is that in evidence here. yes we vote, our votes have turned the tide in the area of who runs the government or has it?

From Democrat (aka liberalism) to Republican (aka Conservatism) really? Is that going to make a difference, something tells me the answer to that is NO! Does the congress really matter? Not for the past 8 - 12 years, in all reality let me ask this, is there a budget for the country/ Nope hasn't been one since Obama took office, now any business person knows that without a budget any endeavor is due to fail before it starts, is there an Immigration Policy that is aside from Obama's demands, NOPE even though Republicans have sent 700 some bills to the Senate for approval, none have been approved, and the American people just sit and watch the comedy and do nothing. In the meantime we see our Rights guaranteed by the Constitution slowly being frittered away, why, for our safety or so they say, but if that were true, explain Ferguson please!

Abe Lincoln in the Gettysburg Address mentioned a government "Of the people, for the people  and by the people, (question where are those people now) shall not perish from this earth." Yet that is exactly what's happening. The Supreme Court in 2010 cut the bottom out from under the people in it's ruling concerning Citizens United vs Federal Election Commission which gave unlimited power to big business by allowing them to spend unlimited sums of money to influence elections. That move with other decisions of that nature helped to create a body far more responsive to the uttering of big corporations and a small collection of billionaires than to the needs of the general populace, which means the the voices of America are growing harder and harder to hear over the clang of the cash registers. To prove my point The Democracy for all Amendments, a proposal that would amend the Constitution to overturn decisions like Citizens United and help close the purse strings now influencing elections did not get the needed votes to pass even though polls showed that 3 in 4 citizens we wholly in favor of the passage, Wonder how that happened? All one hundred Senators had the opportunity to cast their votes to restore our "one person one vote" ideal, many chose not to do so, how does that equate with "For the People?"

Practicality says that the people of the United States of America are being cast aside in favor of "Special Interests" My question, "So what as Citizens do we do?" If you really want to know keep reading, from here on it gets interesting!

Our Tools

The Constitution and the declaration were written so they would be a living testimony to the efforts and thought of our Progenitors, who had in mind forming a nation based on the premise of equality, justice, and safety. there was never a preconceived idea of an esoteric type of society that would decide everything for the benefit of everyone. It was meant to describe an inclusive type of society in which all had a voice and as per the wishes of the people the representatives would stand for and ensure the these were the wishes that were put forth on the floor of the Congress of the United States.

Into this dream came the nightmare that was the precursor for the exodus from the different countries on the earth to the immigration to the "Americas," This was the taint of a Socialistic society where all was for the State (government) and it was to be dispensed by the government (State) for the people weather they produced or not, this is known as redistribution of the wealth. Though it sounds positive in nature there is one major problem with it, it has never ever worked anywhere on this planet, it's major failing point is that those who control the wealth very quickly loose sight of the programs they put forth and wind up using the wealth to assuage their own desire to rise above the proletariat (wage earners) and become the bourgeoisie (property owners) thus dictating to everyone what they can and cannot do. Socialism has no place in a free society, here again our fore fathers proved themselves not only as thinkers but  also doers.

A premise grew out of their thought pattern, it was called Free Market, a economic system where the government places very few restrictions on the type of business activities or ownership that a citizen wants to partake in, this type of system is also known as Capitalism. Within this framework you are allowed to spend your resources the way you want to, there is competition between companies for your business which promote lower prices and better quality, also, you as an individual are allowed to work in the field of your choice. Socialism on the other hand dictate where you will work and you production output on a daily basis, they limit opportunities for owning a business, they also limit what can be purchased and when it can be purchased.

The variances between the two systems is very marked. the importance of our system is simply the the individual is the one who decides what to do, where and how to work, own, and spend according to how they choose rather than the government telling them. Why one would want to recreate the Socialistic environment in this country is beyond my understanding. You see, the biggest tool that we have is history, if it is not paid attention to, we will be forced to live it again.

Do yourself a favor, read some history, the rise of the Third Reich, the rise of Lenin, the rise of Stalin, more recently the downfall of Cuba. Every nation that has succumbed to the Socialistic manifesto has gone on to ruin, it has never ever failed, It will never, ever fail trust me.If you need graphic representations of what I say, Google Pictures of Socialism and see for yourself, is this really what you want?

Capitalism is based on the desire of the individual to succeed and enjoy the fruits of efforts put forth, For years, many have enjoyed the benefits of their sweat by being able to provide for their families in a way the suited them. But now, seems we have to pay more and more of our wages to the disdainful government we now have, for instance The ACA (Obamacare) where is the benefit that was supposed to be received by the general public, has it materialized anywhere? Or, are we now being forced to pay anywhere from 30% on up to 150% of what was paid before for health care? Why was this bill passed through Congress and signed by the President when no one but a select few knew of what it was comprised? How does one beat a free and open society? The only way that is done is behind closed doors, when no one pays attention.

Our Tools and How to use them

We know that things have to change, that is only common sense, as time changes paradigms change, as paradigms change, systems have to adapt, this also is a given. So where do we start, for me, the best place is at the beginning. We have within our grasp a set of tools that are not matched anywhere on earth, for some, that causes problems in that while these tools remain close at hand, they cannot accomplish their wants; which is why these tools were placed where they are.

You might be asking what are these tools, are you ready for this, they are The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America. You might scoff at this, but, before you do, do yourself a favor and read the both, very carefully. In actuality, there are four things you absolutely need to read, they are The Federalist Papers, The Anti Federalist Papers, The Declaration and the Constitution, all are available online. The first two are in regard to the Declaration prior to it's being written one for (The Federalist Papers) and one against (The Anti Federalist Papers.) These reads are of particular interest because therein are arguments for the creation of a Federal Government and arguments against this formation, You again might ask why I suggest these reads the answer is simple. The arguments both pro and con used then are germane to what we see happening today in Washington. These two reads might take a bit, but, both are well worth the time in that understanding the basics of what went into the creation of our two Prime Documents is exceedingly important for us today as it can solidify the foundation we stand on.

Our Declaration starts out with:
"When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them to another"

And our Constitution starts with:
"We the people of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice,insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

You ask why I put these statements here, they both describe the primary tool we have to ensure that the AUTHORITY for both documents remains in the hands of the people of the United States, never, ever, ever forget that! 

Though there are those who will insist that the authority to effect change rests wholly in the realm of the folks in D.C. yet it is those who intend to alter our system with "Fundamental Change" but it seems to me that their change is more dependency on the government and less dependence on our abilities.

Soooo, here is a rather pregnant question for y'all. If the first people of the United States left their homeland because of oppression by their respective governments; economically, religiously, and socially, then what is the purpose of surrendering our rights and liberties to the government now and recreating exactly what of fore bearers left their homes for?

Giving Thanks

You know, for all the foibles, misunderstandings, threats, posturing, and upheavals we have gone through this past six years, and all the discontent prior to that, ours is still the greatest country on this planet.

Where else can you bitch and complain about the government, get a pathetic comedy show as presented by our congress, and a stand up routine of a rank amateur as given by our president weekly, and be forced to follow the dictates of a total non-expert nutritionist as in the president's loving and oh so kind wife.Where else can you get boarders that don't exist except in our minds, where else?

But in all seriousness, we do have quite a bit to be thankful for once you get away from the hate mongers like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Michael Eric Dyson, Chris Matthews, Opra, the View and other loud mouth idiots that only serve to incite.

Yes ladies and gentlemen we do have a lot to be proud of, we as a people have accomplished things that no one else on earth has, we are still the people who are known for generosity, dignity, respect, and all the other human traits that our forefathers were striven to instill in us. We have been the shining example to the world to prove that man can rule himself, though there are those ankle biters that will decry that.

We have a dedicated Military to defend us without asking for validation, we have a Service community in the fire stations, police departments, hospitals, clinics, schools, in the mom and pop shops

We do not have to abide the haters, the inciters, the mobs, or any of the others who would bring us down. We can fly our flags, we can pray in the church of our choice or avoid church as suites us. We can elect or recall any member of the government who proves not to be what was proposed,

Yes, my country men and women we have the greatest country on the planet. Give thanks for that. give thanks to a cop, a fireman, a teacher, a nurse, a doctor, give thanks to a Marine, a Soldier an Airman, and a Sailor, give thanks for the neighbors you have, for the neighborhood you live in, there are those in this world who only dream of these things.

Give Thanks America, no matter how you do it, Give Thanks


Then roll up your sleeves and let's keep this country that great.
